I don’t know if our marriage would be as strong as it is today if it weren't for Randy and Cathy. Knowing we wanted a lifelong, successful marriage, Jeremy and I approached them after church one Sunday. When we told them our plans, Randy asked, "Do you know who’s going to marry you?" We stood there in silence—we hadn't thought that far ahead yet! Randy broke the ice, saying, "Me. I’m going to marry you."
Fast forward a few years, and I walked down the aisle to marry the man of my dreams. Randy officiated the wedding as promised. Through Randy and Cathy’s SYMBIS course, we truly saved our marriage before it even began by laying a strong foundation. They gave us the communication tools to navigate tough difficult conversations with ease, and they guided us through personal struggles like addiction and codependency with immense compassion and patience. As we approach our four year anniversary, they remain a vital part of our journey, and we are so honored to call them friends.

Randy and Cathy have truly found their purpose, and the value they gave us is priceless! Just over a year ago, Julie and I met Randy and Cathy at a critical time in our relationship. Although we both wanted to commit fully, we created too many barriers to sustain our relationship. Counselors and books hadn't helped us figure out what was holding us back. Randy and Cathy’s mentorship methods were exactly what we both needed to rebuild our communication and understanding of each other. What I appreciated the most was their flexibility and their generosity. We never felt rushed in any session. Often, we talked about the parts of our lives that weren’t necessarily specific to our relationship but allowed us to become better individuals and partners. Sometimes we found more value in individual sessions followed by group discussions. Never once did the Boyds play judge and jury or help convince one of us that the other one was “right.” Accountability between sessions was a key to our growth, and Randy and Cathy helped us attack issues on a timeline that worked for us. Julie and I cherish the friendship that we have developed with Randy and Cathy, and we continue to lean on their mentorship today.

Going into this we didn’t know what to expect and it’s definitely out of our comfort zone. But from the very beginning Randy & Cathy made us feel comfortable. S.Y.M.B.I.S. and the other tools they use are top notch, but the way Randy & Cathy are able to connect the dots is key. Their transparency lead us to a deeper level of understanding as a couple and even individuals. My wife and I would not be together today if wasn’t for Randy and Cathy Boyd. After a transgression against my wife, we reached out to Randy and Cathy. We took a communication workshop that helped my wife and I learn how to communicate with each other better. They both took the time with us, made us both feel comfortable and important. They listened when we talked and knowing they have walked through something similar and made it out stronger, gave us both hope. After all of our meetings I begin to see a change in myself and a change in my wife as well. Today we are happier than ever and my wife is my best friend. Randy taught me that I was the one that messed up and I needed to show her I was sorry through my actions not my words. My wife and I worked through our issues together. Today we continue to work on ourselves. Not only did they help change my wife and I, our whole family has changed. In 2018 two years after working with Randy and Cathy we added a third child to our family. If it wasn’t for their support in our marriage our son would not be here today. We could never thank them enough for what they have done for our marriage, family, and us as individuals. To this day we still reach out them both on a personal level and relationship level.

As a coach and mentor, Randy has been instrumental in helping me recover from my past abuse. God has given him the gift to understand, empathize, and identify the root problem to my issues. Randy’s life experiences and study on abuse empowered me to open up freely and through practical steps begin to unravel the layers of pain I had carried for years.
